Chelsea in talks with Napoli over Kepa Arrizabalaga loan exit and Malang Sarr could also leave amid Ligue 1 and Fulham interest

Chelsea are getting closer to offloading Kepa Arrizabalaga and Malang Sarr before the end of the transfer window. Kepa joined the Blues for £71million in 2018, a world-record fee for a goalkeeper, but has struggled to live up to his hefty price tag.

Edouard Mendy has usurped him as Chelsea’s No.1 and has restricted the Spaniard to just 11 Premier League appearances over the last two seasons. He looks set to join Napoli on loan and journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that a meeting is scheduled between the two clubs on Tuesday.

Other reports also suggest that Chelsea will still have to pay 75 per cent of Kepa’s £150,000-a-week wages. It could also include an option to buy next summer, while Thomas Tuchel is already closing in on a replacement in Chicago Fire goalkeeper, Gaga Slonina.

Defender Sarr could also be heading for a Stamford Bridge exit, despite the club’s lack of depth at his position.

Sarr could also be following Kepa to the Stamford Bridge exit door

Romano added that he is in talks with Ligue 1 clubs over a potential move, despite Fulham’s interest.

The 23-year-old played 23 games in all competitions for the club last season, he joined Chelsea from Nice in 2020 and signed a five-year deal.
